Study groups are essentially recurring workshops to which members make a long-term commitment. Each study group is led by an outside Bonsai expert, with a stable recurring group of 5 to 10 members with which the expert holds workshops on a scheduled basis two or three times a year here in Nashville. This develops relationships between the expert and the members. And it allows for sequential teamwork in designing and refining the trees in the member's collection.
